Meet Ambassador Brian Cochrane
Published at: 11:06 am Friday May 20 2011
We are delighted to introduce Brian Cochrane as our first official HOOPS Ambassador!
Brian has been an industry professional for over a decade and in June 2009, he was selected by Nike to be a Master Trainer for Nike Training Club. He is also a sponsored Nike Athlete and is considered an expert in Athletic training. Brian was responsible for co-developing the hugely successful Punch! Boxing programme for Virgin Active Healthclubs and is now solely responsible for facilitating the instructor training modules and developing the programme to this day.
Brian boasts vast experience in group exercise teaching and presenting, personal training and facilitating instructor training. Already an established name on home soil (Scotland), Brian quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after group fitness instructors in Central London.
A lively, upbeat and highly motivational role-model, Brian exudes an unwavering can-do attitude combined with extensive knowledge and firsthand experience of working with our target audience. Brian was heavily involved in the first ever gym in Scotland that existed specifically for 5-16 year olds and later managed a youth fitness project in West London for Virgin Active aimed at getting 5-16 year olds more active through sports and fitness classes.
Luke Bowler, Brand Manager for HOOPS, was excited to have Brian on board:
"Brian commands a great deal of respect with a wealth of experience under his belt. Brian has worked extensively within our target audience of 5-16 year olds and his advice on safe and best practice for athletic training will be a vital component of the HOOPS program. We're delighted to welcome Brian to the team."
Brian lives and breathes his training and when he's not teaching, you'll find him practicing what he preaches. Find out more about Brian and the work he does at briancochrane.com
